Phase 2 of this interesting case on a beloved mule with a chronic infection in the foot called seedy toe. This long standing infection led to chronic sun solar abscesses and an infection of the coffin bone and lameness. After surgically debriding the hoof and affected rim of the coffin bone along with the use of a special hospital plate shoe in late July, the infection in the foot was ready to be repaired using synthetic hoof wall acrylics (equilox) and stainless steel lacing. A great outcome for a really special mule who now is back riding in the mountains.
